    i really do't know much about it just that is old and the person that sold it to me told me is from the marine corp.

      Looks to be from a Knights of Pythias sword.

      They are a fraternal group.

      You say it is a dagger, so I am assuming it is cut down. Not USMC related; however, a previous owner COULD have been a marine at one time.
