      hi. I am key collector as well and finally found out that most of the keys that you have (have some of them my self) were part of padlocks and specially army padlocks. Hope this helps .Apprarently I have a similar collection to yours, they cam to me from a house in center of Hungary (europe) .The women that gave them said that they were collected by granny and most of them were used way before the WWII.
