This box is very charming. I have no idea of it´s origin. I have tried to google some information on the stamp/mark on the bottom of it but nothing helpful comes up.

    Marked:
Porcelain Hand Made Manufactured for Pons Collection Made in China.

The lid has been repaired, nicely done though. This box is rather heavy.

If somebody could help out it would be great! What is Pons Collection?

6.5cm / 2.53" high with the lid on.

    The lid is 12 x 14cm / 4.68" x 5.46" in diameter, the box is a little smaller.

epson233........I post info here as soon as I know something for sure.

But Marie Antoinette had a cousin called Pons who admired her porcelain. Her porcelain were imported from China.

There was also a collector in the 1800s living in Paris called Pons, very interesting to read about him.

Lily Pons was an opera singer /actress French American 1898-1976 who had some glassware named after here :)

Very neat color lay-out.BTW, I'll let you know on the Mickey MC when info arises, thanks for your intrest. Again Love this box, is it a powder box?

Pons from Paris is a fiction character in a book lol. I have been reading a lot online about interesting stuff, but it seems to be rather difficult to get any info about this box.

kerry10456.......Thank you! I don´t know what this box was used for, perhaps powder :)
