A friend of my fathers fished this Hubcap (or whatever it is) out of the pacific ocean and considered it cool (with Chevy Bow Tie). The fisherman didn't have any connection to Chevrolet. When my father retired from General Motors in 1980 the fisherman thought it would be a great gift to celebrate my father's retirement in 1980 ..."the hubcap or horn cap?" like item is embedded in rock, so it must have come to rest in the ocean much earlier...and maybe very old. It sat in my father's shed since 1980 and he gave it to me. I'm interested in knowing from what model year and is it a hubcap? It's about 10 inches across.

WOW!!! Awesome. Thank you so much, Gargoylecollector!!!! I would have never found this. Looking at the pictures tells me that this mystery is now solved. I can't wait to tell Dad. He was at his witts-end trying to figure out what kind of part and how old it actual is. Now the real unsolved mystery is how did it land in the Pacific Ocean and where's the rest of the very cool Roadster?
