This is a Vintage Northwestern 1 cent candy machine, I recently purchased it in Los Angeles and would love to know more about it's history. I have seen several 5 cent machines with the lock on the front, but none that match this one exactly with a lock on the side. Also the candy globe that came with it does not have the raised Northwestern script on it (as seen on the 5 cent models).

Any advise from the experts as to it's age, and history would be greatly appreciated.

From what I know if the machine is original it should have a porcelain coating. It was one of the first northwestern model 49s in 1949. The later machine were painted and the key moved to the front. Hope this helps. If you ever want to sell it email me. I'm collecting nw model 49s

I have this one except mine has the original globe with Northwestern Morris, ill on the glass . The key is on the side and I do have the key. It is in excellent condition.
