I picked these up at a yard sale, now I am trying to figure out what they are! They have pins on the back that are curved like a hook, and they all have the tiny hole at the bottom. Any ideas? They might be made of brass, I haven't tried to clean them up yet. I would appreciate any ideas on what they are! Oh, they are very small (maybe .75 inch by .75 inch)

well that is the one that is different with the sharp pin -- the rest look like some type of metal charms -- all though the holes are all over the place where you would attach the ring -- what did these people do for hobbies or what else was there offered for sale-- --

when i first saw the chess (horse) pon -- i thought of appetizer holders -- but that didn't play out with the rest -- unless they altered them in some way
