Your Western Electric 293AK compact wall telephone is not rare, but was used in a high noise area such as a railway station. note the phone doesn't have bells on the top and it has a push to talk button on the front door. In place of the bells they used a howler (resonating horn) that could be placed in where in a railway office. The 293 series wall phone was manufactured around 1902.
