We were given this desk by a friend for our daughter. It has three drawers each on the left and the right with a drawer in the middle as well. On the other side of the desk, there are three shelves. There seems to be some kind of inlaid leather on the top. I couldn't find any markings referencing where, when or by whom the desk was made; but I also know very little, if anything, about antiques, so perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong spot. If anyone could tell me anything about this desk, I would be very interested to hear it.

This is called a kidney kneehole desk. Under that white paint is mahogany wood just as beautiful as the top. Many would say this is from the "Chippendale" Era, and very probably made in England. This one to me looks like many which date to around 1900-1930.
