We recently acquired this old red ware jug at a Southeastern PA estate sale. It is 8” high with a 3 1/2”top opening and 3” base diameter. The top portion of the jug has a yellow glaze that has oxidized green. The bottom portion is unglazed. It is in excellent condition. There are some very old fleabites around edges, otherwise no chips or cracks.

We just love this old jug and suspect it's a very early piece. We wonder if it was intended to be finished or if the bottom half was intentionally left unglazed.
