VERY cool lock! Especially nice that you have the keys.
Sorry, its not old, it is new. The market is being flooded with these from mainly India. Made to look old, and have everything from Wells Fargo to The Lost city of Atlantis printed on them. Look on ebay, or any other sites, and you will see a great number of these. They will all have 2 matching keys attached with the same wire loop. When do you ever find even one key let alone 2?
More photos would help but it does look like a new one. Has the machined finish on the key hole cover and too much flash on the keys.
Just did a quick search on ebay of antique locks (try it, and look at all of the junk that passes as antiques. Does ebay do anything? No, they just want money) and found 5 exactly like it on the first couple of pages. Old locks are THE MOST copied thing being sold on ebay, and other sites. These guys that are selling them KNOW what they are doing to try and make them look old. The average buyer would not give it a second thought as to the authenticity of the lock, and they dont.
Lots of garbage on ebay....
Ebay buying is dangerous UNLESS you have taken the time to research and know what you collect and are buying.
That is why sites like this one are important, and WHY it is important for knowledgeable collectors to CORRECTLY identify the fantasy, repro, and items with created tales.

thanks guys
as i said i dont know alot about locks.i realy doesnt matter to me if it is old but i find it intersting that i found it in my grandfathers storage room in his 80 years old house in a box after he passed away.a calcutator was the closest thing he had to a computer,so if it came off ebay it would have to have been a gift
Huey, They have been selling these at flea markets and antique shops for several years now so it could have come from just about anywhere.
I see some pressed steel ones showing up now at the antique mall.
It is still a nice lock and a keeper for sure.
