Hi, I need some help with this vase. It is 6 " tall and and about 3 1/2 at the widest point. It has a mark on the bottom but I don't know if it says Sogo or if it is the number 8090. It has hand painted gold flowers on the side. It also has a band between the bottom of the vase and the bubble top. It is a really unique shape. Does anyone have a clue who might have made this and how old it might be? The top rim had gold that is pretty much worn off but the rest of the vase is great. Thanks for any help.

with the way that 9 is formed, it's definitely bohemian or german. time period 1880-1920 (+/- 10 year)

Who? I really don't know. It could be any number of glasshouses. the style of iridescence is bronze glass which was done by a number of glass houses. it was the first popular style of iridescent glass and was later used in carnival glass.

That is a lot of information that I had no idea about. I really appreciate the help. That's exciting, now I can learn all about bronze glass. A great big Thanks!

I have found out from researching that Loetz piece were numbered by the design. I was looking on Loetz.com and found a piece that had 804? . It also said that most Loetz pieces were not signed with a signature. They also have that pontil mark, the round polished circle like the one on my vase. If anyone has a book could you please look up 8090. Also if I am way off base please let me know. Thanks
