If an antiques show is within an hour or two drive, you will probably find me there. I love the anticipation of not knowing what you might find. In this case, I came home with the three pieces pictured here:

    1. Art Deco period decanter, broad facet cuts, probably Moser, Goldberg, Kulka, or similar. A few small chips, but a bargain buy.

    2. & 3. Moser amethyst glass vase with Amazon friese oroplastic decoration. Unsigned, but unquestionably Moser. Unusually small size - about 5". Third photo shows a finely ground and polished pontil with a partial mark visible.

    4. All I know about it is that it is old...enameling is better than most. Beautiful condition, and a bargain, to boot. Possibly Bohemian - possibly English.

      Great finds ,
Number 2 reminds me of Goldberg designs by Theodor Bienert.
the third one reminds me that not just Kiwi's have ovine pinups !! :)
( This is a friendly joke ozzies have with their trans Tasman friends )

It is a rather curious thing to immortalize in glass, isn't it? :)

Yes and the pose is so provocative!

Very English theme! Think of all that Worcester porcelain with hand painted sheep and cattle ... And then there's the work of the Barlow sisters at Doulton's Lambeth factory. Hannah did lots of farm animals, including sheep. And donkeys. We English are undoubtedly a bit odd about animals.

Rams were used as heraldic symbols. I wonder if this is a family theme or something. (they're all great btw) the artistry on the ram is fantastic.

That ram looks like he's been eating fermented grapes...but I like him a lot!! RER
