I bought this lovely plate at an auction. It is 9 1/4" and the only mark on the bottom are the numbers 5389/88 The texture of the plate and the color of the handpainted roses make it look almost three dimensional. I thought it was maybe Bavarian, but a friend suggested it may be American made...any thoughts on that or the age?
