Antique Fulda Hesse Hardpaste Porcelain Figure.

What a beautiful figure this is, the colours are nice and bright, the moulding very crisp. This figure was manufactured in the reign of King George The Third, he has blond hair and a wonderfully detailed face. He is waring a purple wastecoate over a white shirt with a ruffled tie around his kneck, purple pants, held up with blue bracers, white socks and purple shoes. The boy is holding a basket of fruit in one arm, and lowering a piece of fruit into his mouth from his other upright arm. This figure is a true treasure.

    Age :- Circa 1780.

    Origin :- German

Makers / painters marks :- Incissed cross into the porcelain in the underside of the base.

Size :- Height 24cms. width at widest point 8cms

Condition :- Excellent, no chips, cracks or restorations of any kind.

Estimation of value :- We value this figure at £ 200-00 to £250-00.

This wonderful figure is a joy to behold, all the colours and mouldings are as crisp as the day it left the factory. The Fulda factory in Hesse Germany was in production from 1741 untill 1803, the incissed cross was used from 1764 to 1790 on hardpaste porcelain. This large figure is a true and genuin antique of over 200 years of age, in excellent condition, a very rare item indeed. This figure would be a true asset to any collection.THAT WAS THE EBAY DISCRIPTION
