I purchased this table at a little antique store for a room im putting together. It needs some work, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how old it may be and what they actually call these types of small tables?.

This is called a drum table. I am no expert but maybe this will help. I own a couple of tables very similar to yours. Your table is done in the Duncan Phyfe style with the pedestal in the middle and legs going out from the pedestal near the bottom. Duncan Phyfe was a furniture maker in the late 1700s and early 1800s. American furniture makers began replicating his style in the 1920s. Phyfe's style of furniture from that era generally has the paw or claw feet on the bottom of the legs. I do not know the age of your table but many of these types of table are from the 1930s and 1940s. Hope this helps.
