This two necklaces (of which can be made one through the clasps) are particularly dear to me. Why? It will have been in the 80s when my mother has given me these as a is gift. I din't have birthday or another festive occasion. Her motivation for this was that I always take so good for her. What was obvious to me because she was a fantastic mother for me. She died at the age of 84 in 1996.
These are 2 separate cultivated Pearl necklaces. One slightly longer than the other. You cannot see the right color on the photos but it's a very soft rose.
By means of the clasps (14k yellow gold) of these two can be made a long necklace. The sizes of the longest is 48 cm from the shortest 46 cm. So a total of 94 cm. She bought these necklaces in an antique shop and told me that they are real cultivated and they are. That's everything I know to tell. I don't know the origin. Can one of you tell me more about??
The bracelet itself I have purchased some years later in the same color with slightly smaller pearls (also cultivated). The enclosed pendant is separate to each chain/necklace to hang. Is antique and mode of rose gold with a flower of 6 rose cut diamonds.
It is a great pity that pearls are not so very fashionable at this moment. Because pearls are always so beautiful both on festive clothing as daily clothing also on every occasion. Why don't we wear pearls anymore?
Thank you for sharing! I absolutely love pearls! My husband bought me my first set of pearls over 20 years ago. I wear pearls everyday, it has become my signature mark. While my husband was in Thailand he had necklace custom made for me along with the earrings, ring and bracelet to match. I also have black pearls from Okinawa. We went to a pearl farm. I have a book about them but it is written in Japanese. No reason to wait until a special occasion to wear special jewelry-everyday is a blessing.
Bonnie, thanks for your nice comment about pearls. And yes you are completely right in wearing everyday. We visit a pearl farm in China and it was very interesting. Thanks I follow your advise to wear them more!

Ah, gorgeous pearls and adornments!!! Pearls are my very favorite jewel. I never buy cultured pearls because I always think of a pearl as being much like a grain of sand in a living creature’s 'eye'. But these antique pearls are free from this association, and they are glorious. I am so very happy that you have these, Agram. I'm sure that it gave your good Mother more joy to bestow these treasures upon you than it did for you to receive them.
MiKKoChristmas11 you are right and thanks you for your nice and friendly comment and loving!
