My 17 year mystery....I bought this as a gift for my husband at an auction but have never been able to identify it. The only marking is the number 73 on the bottom. Very unique piece and it is hollow inside with a spout. Any ideas of what it really is and who made it? My closest guess is some type of Stoneware

Hello partyoffive: German salt glazed jug, probably Westerwald, circa 1880. See current Ebay listing # 230913996033. Regards, Nootch
