12 inches tall. Antique doll. Early 1900's. Made of felt and other materials. Hand painted face. I got the doll from my grandmother who was born in 1905. I've held on to the doll for 30 years.
I found out thru this site that she is a 1920's doll similar to Mollye Goldman's dolls.
Through further research online I found out original Mollye dolls have a pressed face, eyes that glance to the side and yarn for hair.
My doll has all three distinctive qualities.
Mollye Goldman went on to make the Raggedy Ann doll in 1935.
Hi
Precious doll I need a larger photo of her and close up of face to help me out to id her . Can you add larger photo please :-)
She is a pressed face doll dating from around 1920. Several companies made these types of dolls Mollye's was quite famous for this style doll .
