I've acquired from my grandmother's estate what my parents think is an umbrella or cane stand. We think it's bronze but are not postive as it could also be copper. It has no magnetic properties and no makers marks that I can find. It stands about 23 1/2" tall and weighs about 15 lbs. It could be Japanese? Can anyone help me determine exactly what this is?? Thank you!!

Thank you Jim! Do you have any idea how to tell the difference between an umbrella stand or cane stand?

Definitely not copper. Copper is pink.
Its bronze, Japanese, turn of the century
