Lea Stein turtle brooch

This little turtle brooch is made by Lea Stein.
At first I didn't really like her designs. But when you see the jewelry with your own eyes, its much more beautifull than on the pictures.

Lea Stein was born in France in 1931. She makes jewelry from cellulose acetate, its a very time consuming process. She laminates the cellulose acetate with different layers in which she includes textiles. When the laminating is finished, she puts the laminated plastic in an oven. After this, its cut in different shapes. This whole process takes several months.
