Originally published in 1934, this 1939 edition, 46 p. book has recipes for 100 famous cocktails featured at New York's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
In adition to the drinks, it also has commentary on Prohibition, bartending tips, and what wine goes with what food.
This is a great book, which I acquired at a Flea Market for a mere bag of shells...

Yes, the home "proving grounds" would be a good place to experiment a little! Unfortunately, the book has no "cure" for hangovers, though! I guess that the old spiced up tomato juice concoction will have to be used!!! Ha, ha....!
Maybe I should post some of the recipes.....?

I'm a member of a social club, and I am thinking of having some of these featured in a "retro cocktail night" there. I think that it would go over great!
