    My granny told me these are from the 50's when I asked her to look at them for me. They have crazing in the paint, I don't know anything else about these other then they are very interesting pieces!

      I just joined and found this. These are part of a series of 6 animals that are made to look like stuffed animals. The sets are pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats, donkeys and the elephants. I have the dogs and they just have a Japan paper sticker on them. They are probably from the 50s or early 60s. You can see pictures of these sets in the book Collecting Salt and Pepper Shaker Series by Irene Thornburg. They are on page 71.
