These slide were from my Dads collection, from Korea war, and i just saw the 4 star general, and the other generals. Someone here must know who this guy was, I have others to post tomorrow. This women i don't know and wonder if this from the war
Don't know about a 4 star, but the one with one star appears to be a DeHaverland Beaver. Great planes!
Got me!!!! I Goggled General DeHaverland Beaver looking for a 1 star general. This might be the Premier of South Korea coming to a meeting of all Generals. My dad was a liaison Pilot so he flew also a lot of Generals. Even in Vietnam, but he did tell me he almost crashed in Korea. He was working/looking to close to the line and got mixed up turning and should have been shot out of the air he said. Closest he came to dieing. Funny i did post shot here with writing on back of pictures saying the Premier was landing. Over 100 soldiers are standing as the plane landed. So his job was maybe flying them around and working with Canon soldiers between, He did take a movie we played as kids taken behind the canons as they fired, My brother and I would ask to see it as we were watching home movies, Come On next movie is the canon!!!!! Maybe i was me asking for this, This would be in the late 1960s.
Hope you didn't waste too much time at it.
The four star appears to be Gen. Mark Clark. Also known for WW2 service.
The plane in the last picture, I think, is a L-20 / U-6 Beaver DeHavilland.
mrmajestic1, check out post #1.
I seen # 1 but didn't think filmnet knew what you were referring to.
OK, my speling ain't so gud.
I thought the one star reference was rather clever blunderbuss.
Gen. Mark Clark he was in charge of all army's 1952. I bet my dad had to fly a Gen. to this meeting that why he is not with the other soldiers, and shot this? i do see a Photography walking in some other slide's
This women looks like a America women, she would not be here?
Maybe she came out of this plane?
Just realized that this might be a movie star coming out of the plane, its from the roll of slides i see the slide number's no dates on these slide US. The Gen. and the soldiers for a show. USO ? What was this call?
She must be from the USO Flying with the Gen. 1950-51 anyone know who she is ?
She does look kinda familiar, could be a USO entertainer.
I'll never forget ole, - what's her name. Not real sure, but don't think she has ever lived with me.
