World war 2 german pennants.
Here are 2 car pennants from Admiral Donitz's car.
These were was only 1 vehicle that ever had the pennants on them.
The Grand Admirals car.
So these are more rare than most rare cars are.
Quite rare and valuable.
These came from Grand Admiral Donitz's car they were end of ww2 .
I have provenance.
Matched set or pair.
Which is nice.
Grand Admiral Donitz was in charge of all aspects of the German navy in ww2 the second in command of Germany in ww2 .
Grand Admiral Karl Donitz was appointed as Hitlers 2nd in command of the German military and country .
When Hitler expired Donitz became the leader of Germany for better or worse .
Karl Donitz was never implicated in the atrocities of Germany in ww2 and lived out the rest of his life retired in peace but only as a regular seamans pension.
Is there a good story behind these? Don't think you just found them in your mail box one day.
Here is the story I acquired these in a lifelong collection of Colonel D Rochester Canadian army
.
Colonel Rochester was in the 8th infantry royal engineers at the end of ww2
Anyways these items were found with Colonel Rochester's personal medals and military items .
Colonel Rochester was also in Germany at the end of ww2 .
Research goes on.
Hi Andyman,
I have a collection of WW2 flags that includes these two flags. My grandfather was in the 8th army and was in Germany at the end of the war.
I have added a post with a picture of all the flags in my possession.
I was hoping to find out some more info on them. They have been in a briefcase with all his war photos for more than 40 years that I can remember.
