It has it Markings and the last 2 pieces are not sterling I will have measurements tomorrow and think it is from the 1800. Does any one know what the correct name of these items are. and the first one the cover comes off and it's like U can store things inside like rings.
One is a shoe horn and a nail file and a shoe hook for a woman"s shoe.
first item #B3869
2nd item #B2464 Shoe Horn
3rd item B2488 shoe hook
4th item B8418 nail file
All Marked Stearling
A manicure set. A French term. Late 1880's. around 1880, imho.
Not all of the pieces match so it would be called a 'harlequin set'.
Might be French?
Look forward to seeing the marks.
My thoughts from l to r: nail buff, shoe horn, button hook, then it gets murky as I assume there was a cuticle knife...no idea why you would need so many knives.
The last 3 items don't match. Bought at estate sale. Thought it might be worth something. I bought it years ago. Going through stuff and trying to make room for more..
Well it was early and I just didn't notice. I am with you on flipping so that we can find more treasures!
