I have a few issues with 3-handle pieces, for one thing I can't stop buying them...there's the colors (gotta get 'em all) the shapes, the enamel types etc... When I first started collecting their was this collector who liked and bought almost all of them (even if he had doubles) he published a newsletter with a grid of every type, color and rarity. I was hooked from the start and my destiny is to define things in my own way. The advantage for this particular collector: (I like to think of him as my dad in case he needs a tri-henkel heir) he was wealthy and traveled for business quite a bit. He saw and handled so many pieces before anyone knew what they were...My advantage? the INTERWEB. I have cataloged over 400 images in single shots and groups, in museums and private collections from friends. I will try to group them by shape although the shapes vary slightly in production. Colors are also going to vary (I will share color observations with time...)

Pic 1. Orange, Red, Yellow and Gold (golden-red)
Pic 2. Ivory, Rose cameo, Cobalt iridescent, Green marbled (Hoffmann)
Pic 3. Lavender, Green (May green), Pink, Wine (pink cased by bohemian red)

Here are a few things I think...
What facts their are soon will come to light. The new Loetz book shows many more line drawings and indicate these pieces started production before Czechoslovakia even existed, unfortunately not every shape is included...

    Makers: mostly Loetz and Kralik
Shape Designers: M. Kirschner or M. Powolny
Decor Designers: J. Hoffmann, M. Powolny, M. Kirschner, Bolek, Peche,
    Refiners: Hosch, Moser, Wilms
Date of production: 1909- 1930 more or less
Date trendy: 1920's along with anything tango
Marked: oval Loetz mark, Scripts acid mark or no mark at all
Collecting stats: They are cheap right now

This is a work in progress so input is welcome (pictures are craved...)

Selenium/magnese glass glows orangey red under blacklight, (to the best of my knowledge). the only pieces in my collection that glow that color are yellow harrach pieces. I do have some orange tango from loetz. As soon as this purring kitteh clears my lap I can double check it.
