Un identified hand embroiderys on silk

A friend gave me these two hand embroidered on silk pieces. They are fairly large...the boat one being approx. 20" X 29" (embroidered area only) and the polo one being approx. 10 1/2" X 15". They are embroidered on silk with a lightweight cotton fabric. Both are signed with thread. I have included a photo of one of the signatures.

My friend bought both of them some years ago in New York at a big folk art/raw art show.

I collect world textiles but have no idea where these came from or how old they are. They appear new.

Can anyone tell me anything about these?
