    I would like to know if anyone knows if this is a clossone vase. (unsure of the spelling of this so sorry if I spelled in incorrect. My husband was wondering if thats what kind of vase it was.

      Yes, it is an early Japanese cloisonne vase, the mark is an archaic MING Chinese mark, see the idcloisonne.com site on the Japanese marks page for several other examples.
