    (82 items)

This piece of furniture belonged to my grandparents and is believed to have been purchased around the time of their marriage in the late 1920's in Baltimore, MD. I am not sure if that's when it dates to, or if it's older. The marble top takes two men to carry. (Photo taken after application of lemon oil thus the shine!)

do not sell this piece of furniture, the piece of marble on top is a piece of mideastern stone that is not found anywhere , it has been all mined out, or really close too it, very exspensive very nice

That's interesting about the marble, is there a name for it? I have no intention of selling the piece, I have fond memories of it since childhood and am happy to now have it in my own home.

Victorian era, early 1900 or so. I would say about 800.00 at auction. Very nice piece. Don't use any furniture polish on your pieces. Just wipe off with soft cloth and once a year apply a little bees wax and polish. Dave

I just joined Collector's Weekly and found this post. I have an apparently identical dresser that, sadly, my grandmother painted white. Can't tell the condition of the wood underneath. Have you (or has anyone else) learned any more about it since your original posting?
