Picked up this W.W. Winship & Sons Trunk. . the only info i have found is that was made in boston durning the 20s by Winship inc, who was bought out by a london based company. so if anyone as more info about winship wardrobe trunks, send to cole40k@yahoo.com

I would say a competant locksmith could get it open and supply a key for a fair price .
I got an old trunk opened and a new key made for an old trunk I had at my local hardware store / locksmith. Cost about $25.
Hi, I have the patent for this Winship trunk and other Winship patents, ads, articles, etc. about the Winsip trunk company, one of the first trunk makers in Boston. They bought out the Faber trunk company of Utica, NY in the early 1900's and had their main factory in Utica NY in the following years. They were a very large trunk company and made many styles of trunks. I own a miniature model of this wardrobe trunk with the original Winship label. My great grandfather was Walter Whyte Winship (W.W. Winship). I have plenty of information on the history of my family and the trunks if you are interested.

I just found this beautiful trunk, it needs a lot of work, but I am interested in the family history and the trunks, I am considering getting this trunk for my living room, I don't know how to restore it, but the trunk is so nice that I would very much like to restore it myself. If you have any info on how-to restore this trunk I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Hello everyone!! I also purchased one of the Winship Wardrobe The Trunk with Doors from 1923, I think. Hi u was wondering if any one coulp help me with a site that might be able to tell me either exactly how old my trunk is or what its worth. my w.w. winship and sons corp trunk looks exactly like this one, except for its not as well of shape on the outside, and the color of fabric on the inside is a blue instead of black. if anyone could give any information to me that would great:)
