Are you sure it is a thrown pot and not carved? How heavy is it? The reason I ask is that there was a sculptor called Fidel Aguilar Marco from Gerona and his sculptures have the word" Quart" in the description , which may mean"quartz" for the material it is made of. I don't know Spanish, but you might want to research his name. Good Luck!

thank you for the input and reply. From the basic research that I have done Quart is the factory? Girona is the town. Marco Ceramiques has been operating as a ceramics factory and manufacturing site since the early medieval era; circa 1450's.

There is is documentation referencing the 1925 Art Deco International Expo in Paris.
the most intriguing aspect of the jug~pitcher is it_____________________?
      A. From the early 1900's -1930's
      B. A factory reissue, commemorative, corporate award from the last twenty years
      C. The highest form of flattery i.e. copy/fake/forgery

With all objects, a story shall emerge and it may just get very interesting.
      Thank you,

So Gerona and Girona are the same place?
