    I Collect gargoyle too, I love the look of them,the older the better but I haven't got any so I've got these ones which are just as nice.

    They are Actually called Grotesques, gargoyles are to do with water, Usually as Drainage on builds but as Everyone called them gargoyles so be it lol.
    I've only got about 5 or 6 of them as its hard to find really nice ones. I've found some good books on gargoyles,they are some lovely ones out there.

      Hi Phatbudda! That is a fabulous area of collecting....I hope you are successful in your venture!! You have a great start! Just to let you know that the name GARGOYLE comes from the French word "GARGOUILLER" which is literally the sound of water flowing through Gargouilles.. rainwater drains on buildings that were fashioned into Demons, Animals and Monsters. They were meant to be frightful to ward off evil spirits and probably to scare off people from getting too close to the water drains that was flowing quite fast from the church roofs and other buildings that had them.
