Lamp Mystery - Old Carved Wood Table Lamp - Help

Over the weekend, I received this beautiful old carved wood table lamp. I definately need help identifying it.

It has an Eagle socket, and look at the light harp. I've never seen anything like it, let alone with the red and black sides on the push switch.

Any idea what the bird face or the other design patterns could be??
A garoyle perhaps?

It came with a wood slat type shade. Due to the Eagle socket, and the deco looking plug, I'm guessing sometime around the late 30's or 40's?

I'm thinking Alaska. . .?? Asian??? Folk Art? Tribe??

Any help would definately be much appreciated:-)
