We have had the 2 books of his personal memoirs books saved from my wife's grandmother, I have not look at them for 20 years, today i looked at them and found with on the first book. This volumes are dedicated to the American soldiers and Sailors. New York City, May 23 1885 maybe he die july 23 1885. Is is his signature? I read he was really sick.
I see that this is the first print of this book which had this page printed on his signature. Not a signature.
First printing had this page in front none after, 1 book is broken really bad and the other is not good.
