Thought I would share this. The inscription on the front reads and a nation is born. The cool inscription is on the back 8th July 1786. They finally caught the error and changed it to 4th July.

Don't know when bell was rung all I know is my research (worthpoint) among other sites say-this one is more collectible than the ones with correct date. Thanks for the history lesson:-). Thanks mustang.

In my research, I've found that the 4th was the date that the printer arbitrarily used as it was the date it was printed. According to that source, which I believe is correct, the C.C. approved it on the 2nd, printed on the 4th & the first signature was on the 6th(J.H.) and it was never delivered to King George.
Tell me I don't know how to stir-up sh-t! This may turn into the longest post ever. Americans will argue over this all day long and not complain when a Brit. like Piers Morgan of CNN attacks the U.S. Constitution.
