    The most frequent description I have seen of this pattern of decanter is that it is made byWhitefriars. Really cool decanters with wrythen bodies, a single feathered neck ring and 4 large dimples. I have jugs and glasses to go with them.

    I had originally attributed this to John Walsh Walsh, but I have now seen multiple references to this pattern belonging to Whitefriars, so this is an amendment.

      These arebeautiful, very elegant and I just love those dimples...I have an old wrythen bodied jug with a similar-ish stopper...:-)

      I have a couple of these in my collection & they have the engraved numbers under the stopper which I believe is indicative of Powell.

      I love a bit of that optical swirl.
