The Kunstaardewerkfabriek began operations in Utrecht, Holland in 1909 and then moved to a St. Lukas, Maarssen location . This wonderful glazed earthenware example was produced at the St. Lukas plant during the time it was in Maarssen. The mark shown was used from 1928-1933. The decor consists of a black abstract/floral painting under a high gloss Red Flambe Glaze. This one is marked 72 T MAARSSEN, Made in Holland and measures 3 7/8" tall by 3 1/2" across. The glaze is so high gloss that it creates a magnifying effect. RER (LOUMANAL)

Love St Lukas! Thanks for sharing this one for us.
Thanks vetraio50 for your comments and mustangtony for the love. It glows so much that it is difficult to capture the black flower underglaze. RER (BOB)
