This was something I found while going through my grandmother's antiques and this plate really intrigues me. I can't find a single one like this one online. I have been wondering what the pattern is called, when it was made and just any information I can get about it. Thanks! I really appreciate it!

The under-glaze mark, Haviland in an arc over France in green, is mark #12 in "The Collector’s Encyclopedia Of Limoges". I believe this mark dates the plate from 1893 to the early 1900's. Then I found, on the Haviland website, it shows the Green mark, like yours as "Mark I" from 1894 - 1931.

I found some similar patterns on Replacements.com and Ebay. There's several that have very similar parts of the pattern, like this one on the Replacements site: http://www.replacements.com/webquote/H__H3314.htm#6118745

Do search on both Ebay and Replacements.com using these terms: Haviland - Cobalt - Rose - Gold , and you'll see all the items with similarities.

Also, read this page on the Haviland website about Schleiger numbers and source books for the 30,000 to 60,000 Haviland patterns: http://www.havilandonline.com/index.htm#Identification%20of%20Patterns

I found some interesting items on Ebay, a Haviland Presidential serving dish, with the cobalt blue band, gold, and "drop" roses, that sold for over $500!

I have a few Haviland pieces and have researched them, but I learned a lot more about Haviland while looking for info on your plate, it was fun.

I hope some of this helps you to identify your pattern. If you somehow get access to one of the Schleiger books, try to get the most recent version for the most accurate and up to date info.
