I arrived shortly after Hurricane 1971, In a VW bug convertible, camping with a tent. I returned many times, the fishing was good from the beach! Boats are dull and expensive and The sailfish and marlin should be spared, Just my opinion. The first photo, well the hurricane hit, people ran in the church and I guess prayed and part of ceiling came down breaking Jesus's arms and hurricane stopped. Pope said God lowered arms and only he can raise them back! So they remain down. 2ns photo is Barra De Navidad in 1971, still small village, The whole Spanish armada was in this bay amassed to leave and take over the Philippines. This was around 1500's. There is statue in square for this. They still find old coins! Cayman gators in the lagoon also! 3rd photo is me fishing! I would meet Ken and Dell, he was retired Air Force pilot from Canada, They taught me to use BUZZ BOMBS on sliding wire leader! And we caught fish! Dell would cook Dorado Head soup! mmm goood! Last photo is my ex-wife fishing, I taught her! She is from Japan. This is day before my son was born! He has 3 birth and passports now! We spent 5 months before he was born and one month after he was born. You can walk the beach to next town San Patricio or also called Melaque It was settled by Irish and some kids still have red hair, I always wondered if Melaque is for marlarke or Irish word "bunch of malarke". I weighed my son at fruit stand on way home from midwife, he was exactly 3 kilos! The midwife has a Pharmacy-Liquor Store, she gave a bottle of Ron Castillo for me to drink while in swimsuit and sandals I watched my son born! The town celebrated also! I am rambling sorry The Jesus paper hangs in my Catholic Church I built in my dining room!
We ate lots of sashimi and sushi.
