A Cased Amethyst Decanter

This is a cased amethyst decanter with grapes and vines cut intaglio style into it. I believe it is Stevens and Williams circa. 1910. It is 4 sided with a dimple is each side. Cased means that glass of one colour on blowing pipe is dipped into another colour of glass before it is blown, creating an object of two colours, one inside the other. In this case it was clear glass dipped into amethyst glass.

I am loading this because Vetriao50 loves amethyst glass and he seems like a good guy. This is one of my favourite decanters, it's coming the old peoples home with me when they ship me out to grass.
