Back in the late 1980's I bought an old drugstore in a small west TX town. This sign was found leaning up against the wall behind the wooden showcases with about an inch of dust on it. Didn't even know what it was until it was wiped down. I don't think it was ever hung up, I think it was stuck back behind the cabinet for nearly 50 years. The picture I posted is really just a scan of one I saw somewhere. My is currectly all packed up due to a recent move. However, if there is any interest about this sign, I will unpack and take some pics. I haven't quite figured out where I will put it in the new house. I have only seen 2 of these in all the years I have been collecting old drugstore items. Is there anybody out there who can tell me more about this sign? Thanks
By all means, unpack and take pictures, we will be interested. This is a 1938-1938 porcelain fountain sign, 24"x26". They are not common, but do come up on eBay frequently and are highly valued by collectors. In mint condition, the sign books for $3000. The ones generally seen on eBay are good condition, they go for $500. A really nice one will sell for $1500 in this market (see examples of recent auctions below). If yours is as nice as it sounds, you could be sitting on a couple grand. Or if you're like a lot of us, we prefer to look at a couple grand rather than sit on it. Hang that baby and enjoy! :)

Thanks so much for responding so quickly to my post. Yes, mine is in mint condition! When I get it unpacked, I will take some pics of it and post. As much as I love the sign, my elderly Mom has moved in with me and I need to renovate a bathroom for her to accomodate her disabilities, so I may have to let it go.....Thanks again
vintage RPh, did you ever get it unpacked? If so please send me your email address and I will contact you. Thanks-
Let's see some pics of your sign:)
