I was given a pair of churubs for my garden. They are painted concrete and weigh about 120 lbs. There is a cast plate screwed onto a hollow metal tube that goes down through the center of each statue. I imagine at one time, there were lights mounted on the tops. I have been unable to find any info or pictures on these statues. As usual, I dont have a clue. Thanks ahead for your input, Ron
Beautiful garden pond too!
What a beautiful garden like paradise ! Could tube in them mean they may have had water coming out on top , like a waterfall ?
I meant water fountain not waterfall :-)
Manikin, the tube looks to have contained electric wires. Thanks for looking everyone.
i have some similar ones which are gold. i think that they were fashionable lights in the 1910/20s and again in the 1950s. i really like them as garden focal points.
