I found this curious looking piece at an old junk/vintage goods shop in Crown Point, NY quite a few years ago. Only paid a few bucks for it but I have a feeling it could be something quite old and rare.
I've been searching the internet and can not find anything else similar except an antique "flip" glass from the late 1700's made in Pennsylvania by William Stiegel. My glass is 4.5 inches tall
I saw a glass with this same shape in an antique shop in Queechee,VT which also had detailed engraving and they wanted over four hundred dollars for it! This is what gave me an idea that I might have something special...
I welcome any inquiries and information that you might have to share!
