I picked up this great wooden file cabinet/box for $25 at a local antique shop. This was a find considering I live in Connecticut and the shop is on the famed Antiques trail in Woodbury Connecticut. I am an attorney and I want to furnish my office with only antiques. The dealer was a lawyer before selling antiques and this had belonged to his father who was also an attorney. I got such a great deal because he knew I would appreciate this and that meant alot to him. I have no plans on selling this but I am curious as to its value. It was made by J. Meyers Stationary and Printing company incorporated in the 1920's. It is all wood, each drawer is divided with a hole on the bottom of each compartment, this hole was to put your finger in to push the documents up so you could remove them from the drawer. This was designed to hold legal forms. It is in great condition and makes a nice addition to my office and I would appreciate any information about this.
