Purchased at a yard sale and don't know what they if someone could help me out....
The smaller windmill is made of silver and heavier than the larger windmill. There's a tiny engraved cross on the back.
The other larger windmill is lighter but I believe is also silver, but I don't see any engraving or signature or anything that could give me a clue.
I would also love to know how old they may be....
I appreciate your input. Diane
Hi nookiepookie, welcome to CW! They could be sterling, you never know....you have to get a magnifying glass and look everywhere for the word STERLING, 92.5. If they are not marked, the are probably silver plated.
What are the measurements? Looks like decorative tops for something, based on their size....maybe a wine bottle? The one on the right appears to be threaded.
Thanks BHock45...The smaller windmill is 2 1/2" tall and there's a tiny cross on the back. I found out that it means it was made between 1906 and 1953....definitely know that one is sterling silver . It's not a thread that you are seeing - it's decorative lines. May be a cork is inserted....don't know
The other one is 3" tall and I looked and looked and still can't find any kind of markings.
I do not know but I bet AR8Jason would know what they are.
