    I was told the chair was from Great Britain but no one knew for sure. It is 53" at the highest point 32" wide at the arms and the seat is 3.25" thick. There are no markings of any kind that I can find, I think it may be made of oak. It is hand carved and is mostly pinned with dowels except the base/rocker is attached with strait slot screws. There also a few nails that I think may been repairs.

    I'm curious where and what it was for, this is very large. When I set in it the back is almost a foot above my head.
