Just picked this up, what do you guys think? How attractive! Look at the bottom! To an antique collector like me, all those scratches are a pretty sight! Haven't seen that much wear on a bottom in quite a while, there's gotta be like 80 years of scratches there at least. Glass is probably the broadest category of collectibles, and my knowledge of it is fairly thin, does this look familiar to anyone? Bohemian? And what are your opinions on age?
Thanks Bellin! It is quite attractive isn't it?
can see a pic of the top please looking into the vase? I think Bohemian 1890's - 1915
Harrach or Reidel as most likely producers. That yellow enamel would have been a base for gilding. At one time this was gilded not enameled.
Yes you're right, I forgot to mention that the yellow was a gilt-base, you can make out the gold still if you look closely in person
I can only post four photos, is there something specific that you're looking for in the top?
Thanks for the name Harrach, I think you're right! I found a similar one on eBay and the person thinks its Harrach as well:

Gorgeous vase!
Thanks Slave! Actually maybe I'll just call you "to-glass"
That sounds a little better, LOL!
I wanted to try and get an idea of how the color was incorporated. I can't tell if it's enameled on teh inside or if it's a flash on the inside layer. it's a really odd color. I actually lean more towards Reidel than Harrach.
So pretty and girly! Love it!
Lol, it is ultra-feminine isn't it?
I'd like to keep it, but I'm not sure I can display it!
Snowyowl, the lavender is actually sandwiched between the two layers of glass, one thick (outside layer), and one thin (inside). Not familiar with how this is done
Its actually crystal as well, if that helps
There are only a few Riedel pieces available online for me to reference, but I definitely do see the resemblance. I'll keep on digging, thank you very much for those leads Snowy!
Hey Snowy, you think I should carefully re-gild this? I have a bottle of it
Or just leave it as is?
