This is a triple neck ring decanter with grapes etched on one side, circa.1800. It is 4.5 inches high.
No stopper with this but I had to have it. I bought it about 15 years ago at Bermondsey Square Market for £9. Bermondsey Square Antiques market starts at 4am on a Friday morning, and has been running for centuries. It is also a legal oddity in that title is bought to anything sold there no matter what, i.e. even if the item is stolen. When I worked in London I used to go there before starting work. I bought some great things, but sometimes wondered where they came from, especially if they were very cheap. I also lived next to a park that was common land, which meant any one had the right to graze livestock, which meant it often had cows mingling with the Sunday morning footballers, or walking up my street eating peoples front gardens. Those medieval charters, don't you just love them.
I'd be very interested in seeing the bases on these when you post them :)
