Due to circumstances I came across the opportunity to buy this ladybug brooch made by Lea Stein brosche to buy. Even though I actually don't like this style jewelry I think this brooch is a beautiful collectors item. The seller told that this brooch is perhaps 50 years old or more and bought in Paris. I have for myself no idea what the age could be and I I can't find a similar brooch nor on Google nor on other sites of Lea Stein jewelry. Please who has any idea of the age?

I think its an older brooch. You can see the modern 'coccinelle' brooches have a more easy form to make.

But I will let you know if I find out more about it.

Hello Newtimes, thanks for your Answer. I heart from the seller that this must have been one of the first ladybug brooches Lea Stein had made before her husband invented the (I don't know the English word) Lamineer technique. Perhaps this helps your investigation?

Wow Agram, what a great piece! I would guess its a 1960's-70's kind of thing, though I'm not familiar with Lea Stein dates

I found this on a website:

"These "vintage" pieces of jewelry were made from 1969 until 1981 and are identified by a v-shaped pin-back which is heat mounted to the back of each piece, as are the pin-backs on her newer pieces. The v-shaped pinback is always marked "Lea Stein Paris." The smallest pieces have tiny straight pin-backs which say "Lea Stein."

Looks like it is an older piece, probably 1970's. It looks aged in the photos?

Stillwater, I know the name of the process: eliminating cellulose!

Stillwater, thanks again for loving and yes indeed it looks aged. The seller told me it's from the beginning is the Stein period, bought in Paris and I would like to know if this one of the first ladybug brooches from Lea Stein and a dating. I don't can find a similar on the web! Hope hearing from you!!!

PhilDavidAlexanderMorris thanks for your helpful comment. But of course I could find the Google sites but there I don't find any lady bug brooch the same as mine. And for one brooch of Lea Stein it seems to me a bit unnecessary to buy a book on this subject.
But her jewelry is so important that I find it nice to be able to add this to my collection. Because I dont'can find the same I would be nice a give my brooch some date??

PhilDavidAlexanderMorris, because English is not my native language I hope you don't mind but I don't understand the last half of your comment. Can you please explain what you mean by this?
