Imperial German Army stein of Reservist Konrad Heinrich of 9. Inft. Regt."Wrede' 5. Comp. Wurzburg 1897 -1899. This 0.5L porcelain stein features a front panel depicting a "9" indicating the Infantry Regiment within the Wurzburg crest. The side panel scenes of visiting frauleins at the local bierhall, training maneuvers and most importantly, confinement in the camp stockade (rare to see this particular scene on a stein, which is why I bought it). The brightly colored graphics are highlighted with hand-detailed buttons. The pewter lid features two soldiers in comradeship. The rear of the stein displays the company roster. The stein is free of cracks and chips. The lithophane reveals a soldier and his fraulein in a beerhall scene.
